BASIC assumptions

I’ve always felt quietly smug about learning to write very simple programs in BASIC in the mid-1980s. It’s amazing to think someone was envisioning pocket computers years before I even knew what a computer was. It boggles the mind to think what technology might emerge by the time another 30 years have passed (if high-tech can avoid collapsing by then).

One curious thing is that your article seems like it would have been relevant as prior art in some of the lawsuits that were raging 5-10 years ago. In fact, I have to wonder if it was used and you just weren’t told.
